Before you start - read this.
This plan is designed to take you from zero to $10,000/month, step by step. If you’re brand new to UGC, start at Week 1 and don’t skip ahead - every phase builds on the last and jumping ahead without the foundation can slow you down instead of speed you up.
If you already have solid UGC experience and you purchased Elevate or Icon, you can jump directly to your tier’s starting week. But if you’re ever feeling stuck, come back to the beginning - the answer is usually there.
I recommend following the plan in order. The strategy is built as one complete system, not three separate ones.
GLOW UP PLAN
$1,000–$2,000/month as a UGC Creator
Week 1 - Understand the Game
Go through Lesson 1 and Lesson 2 - get clear on what brands are actually buying and how the UGC market works
Pick 2–3 niches you’ll create content in (beauty, wellness, home, food, fitness, tech - go with what feels natural to you)
Find 10 brands in your niche that are already running UGC-style ads on TikTok or Instagram - these are your future clients
Go through Lesson 3 and start building your Swipe File: save 20–30 ads that caught your attention. This is your creative reference - keep adding to it every week
Go through Lesson 4 and Lesson 6 - set up your filming space: find 2–3 spots in your home with good light and a clean background
Get your lighting sorted - a ring light or a window with natural light is enough to start
Go through Lesson 5 - practice your filming technique: shoot 5–10 short practice clips just to get comfortable on camera
Go through Lesson 7 - learn how to edit: download CapCut or Edits, edit those same clips, add captions and music
Go through Lesson 8 - write your first scripts and hooks. Practice your first 3 seconds - that’s where deals are won or lost
Week 2 - Build Your Studio
Week 3 - Create Your Portfolio
1. Go through Lesson 9 - understand what a Proof Stack is and why it matters
2. Film 3 spec ads (practice videos for real brands you already use and love):
1 talking-head / testimonial style
1 voiceover + B-roll / demo style
1 unboxing or lifestyle style
3. Edit all three to a clean, professional standard using everything you learned in Week 2
4. Put together your portfolio link: a Notion page, Contra, or a Google Drive folder with your 3 videos and a short intro about who you are and what you create
5. Write your creator bio: who you are, what you shoot, what kinds of brands you work withYour portfolio goes out before you do. Make it count.
1. Go through Lesson 10 - learn how UGC platforms work
2. Create and fill out your profiles on: Billo, JoinBrands, Fiverr
3. Upload your portfolio to every profile - photo, bio, video link
4. Apply to 8–10 briefs on these platforms this week
5. Set your starting rate: $150–200 per video
Week 4 - Get on Platforms
Week 5 - Start Pitching Brands Directly
1. Go through Lesson 11 - learn how to pitch, price yourself and close deals
2. Write your cold pitch template: keep it short, confident and focused on the brand - not on you
3. Make a list of 30 brands to pitch directly (look at who’s running UGC-style ads on TikTok or Instagram - they’re already buying this kind of content)
4. Send your first 10–15 pitches directly to brands via email or Instagram DM
5. Set up a simple tracker in Google Sheets: brand / date pitched / follow-up date / status / rate
1. Follow up on every pitch from Week 5 that didn’t get a reply - follow-ups are where deals actually close
2. Send 15 new pitches
3. Apply to another 5–8 briefs on the platforms
4. Goal by end of this week: at least 1–2 deals in progress or closed
Week 6 - Follow Up & Close
Week 7 - Deliver & Get Paid
1. Go through Lesson 12 - learn how to deliver content, get paid and protect yourself: contracts, invoices, red flags to watch for
2. Deliver your first paid content on time and exactly on brief - being reliable is your biggest advantage as a new creator
3. Ask every happy client for a testimonial
4. Add your completed paid work to your portfolio right away
5. Raise your rate to $200–250 per video - you have proof now
1. Set a non-negotiable weekly rule: 10+ pitches every Monday, no exceptions
2. Reach out to every happy client and offer them a retainer: 4 videos per month at a fixed rate
3. Check your numbers:
• How many videos did you deliver this month?
• What was your average rate?
• What’s in your pipeline right now?
4. Your $2K formula: 10 videos × $200 = $2,000 - that’s your target
You’re ready for Elevate!
Week 8 - Hit $2K
ELEVATE
$3,000–$5,000/month: UGC + Influencer
You’re already making money with UGC. Now you’re adding a second income stream - your personal brand as an influencer. These two work together and multiply each other.
Week 9 - Upgrade Your Positioning
1. Go through Lesson 13 - understand how the UGC + influencer hybrid works and why brands pay more for creators who can do both
2. Choose your main platform for influencer growth: TikTok or Instagram
3. Define your personal brand: niche, aesthetic, voice - what makes you you
4. Update your bio, pinned posts and highlights - they should look like a $3–5K/month creator
5. Raise your base UGC rate to $300–400 per video - you’re not a beginner anymore
1. Go through Lesson 14 - learn how to find brands outside of platforms: LinkedIn outreach to brand managers, direct email, PR agencies
2. Make a list of 20 mid-size to larger brands that have real advertising budgets
3. Build your Media Kit in Canva: your niche, platforms, audience demographics, engagement rate, UGC rates, influencer rates, and logos of brands you’ve worked with
4. Set your influencer rates based on engagement - not just follower count:
• Under 5K followers: $200–400/post
• 5–10K: $400–800/post
• 10K+: $800–1,500+/post
5. Add your profile to Trend.io and AspireIQ - these platforms connect influencers with brands and open up a different level of deals than beginner UGC platforms
Week 10 - Build Your Media Kit & Go Off-Platform
Week 11 - Launch Your Authority Content
1. Go through Lesson 15 - launch your Authority Content System
2. Start posting 4–5 times a week on your main platform
3. Content mix: 60% niche content + 40% trending or relatable
4. Use trending audios on TikTok and Reels to maximize your reach
5. Spend 20–30 minutes a day engaging in your niche - commenting, replying, showing up. Visibility builds relationships
6. Remember: this content is your best sales tool. Brands look you up before they respond to your pitch
1. Go through Lesson 16 - learn how to turn one-time clients into recurring income
2. Reach out to every past UGC client and offer a retainer: 4 videos/month at a fixed rate
3. Even 1–2 retainer clients give you stable, predictable income without constant pitching
4. Sign up for affiliate programs: LTK, ShopMy, Amazon Associates - passive income that works while you sleep
5. Apply to ambassador programs for 3–5 brands you genuinely use and love
Week 12 - Build Your Retention System
Week 13 - Master Negotiation & Usage Rights
1. Go through Lesson 17 - learn negotiation and usage rights
2. Add a usage rights fee to every UGC proposal from now on: if a brand runs your video as a paid ad, they pay a licensing fee on top of your creation rate
• Usage rights typically add $150–600+ per video depending on the duration and platform
3. Never accept the first offer - always send a counter
4. Start pitching bundle packages: UGC video + Instagram Reel + Story mention = one invoice, more value, higher total
1. Go through Lesson 18 - learn what a premium client experience actually looks like
2. Build a simple onboarding process: a welcome message, a creative brief template, a revision policy, and an invoicing system
3. Start pitching influencer partnerships separately using your Media Kit
4. Position yourself as a 2-in-1 creator: UGC + influencer = more value for the brand = higher rates
5. Add to your bio: “open to brand collaborations” + your email or a Linktree link
Week 15 - Monthly Pipeline Machine
Week 14 - Premium Client Experience
1. Go through Lesson 19 - build your Monthly Pipeline Machine
2. Set your weekly non-negotiables:
• Monday: Send 15 new pitches (UGC + influencer)
• Wednesday: Follow up on every pitch that hasn’t been answered in the last 7 days
• Friday: Review your pipeline, update your tracker, confirm this week’s deliverables
3. Batch your filming: shoot multiple videos in one session to protect your time
4. Add off-platform pitching: 5–8 brands per week directly via LinkedIn and email
Week 16 - Hit $5K
1. Add up all your income streams:
• UGC retainers: $___/month
• One-off UGC deals + usage rights: $___/month
• Influencer sponsorships: $___/month
• Affiliate commissions: $___/month
• Ambassador deals: $___/month
2. Find your weakest stream - that’s where to focus your energy
3. One more retainer deal or one more sponsorship post is usually what closes the gap to $5K
Your $5K formula:
UGC retainers + usage rights: ~$2,000
Influencer sponsorships: ~$1,500
Ambassador + affiliate: ~$1,000–1,500
Total: $4,500–5,000/month

1. Go through Lesson 21 - build your Signature Aesthetic System
2. Lock in your visual identity across every platform: colors, editing style, type of content, overall feel

3. Create a rate card with clear tiers — it positions you as established and makes negotiating faster

5. Set a minimum deal threshold: below a certain amount, you don’t take the work. Protect your calendar for premium clients
1. Go through Lesson 23 - learn how to build Long-Term Partnerships
2. Reach out to your top 5 current or past clients and offer a 3–6 month contract: set deliverables each month at a locked premium rate

2. Optimize your content for discoverability: strong captions, strategic hashtags, platform-specific tactics

7. Get listed on Creator.co, Influential, and Whalar - these are agency-level platforms where high-budget brand campaigns are placed
1. Negotiate performance bonuses with new brands: if your content hits X views or drives X sales, you earn an additional fee - confident brands will say yes
2. Pitch multi-platform deals: TikTok + Instagram Reel + YouTube Short = one brand, one invoice, maximum value
3. Scale your affiliate income: with a strong, engaged audience, affiliate commissions can reach $1,000–2,000+/month passively
4. Dedicate one post a week to driving traffic to your LTK, ShopMy or Amazon storefront
1. Go through Lesson 25 - learn how to scale your operations
2. Outsource what isn’t your highest-value work: editing, inbox management, post scheduling
3. Set up your business infrastructure: LLC, business bank account, invoicing system (HoneyBook, Dubsado or Wave)
4. Create an inquiry form on your website - brands come in pre-qualified and save you hours every week
5. Upsell every client: they bought UGC - offer to add a sponsored Reel or Story to their contract
1. Go through Lesson 26 - The $10K Creator Roadmap: your complete income map at scale
2. Break down your $10K by stream:
• Long-term UGC retainers (2–3 brands): ~$4,000
• Paid influencer deals (2–4/month): ~$3,000
• Ambassador + affiliate: ~$2,000
• Passive/additional income stream: ~$1,000
3. Find the gap: one more retainer? A rate increase? One more influencer deal?
4. Ask every happy brand partner for a referral - warm introductions close faster than cold pitches
5. Write down exactly what’s working right now - that’s your system. Protect it and scale it
Your $10K formula:
Premium UGC retainers: ~$4,000
Paid influencer sponsorships: ~$3,000
Ambassador + affiliate: ~$2,000
Passive income: ~$1,000
Total: $10,000/month
One truth for every level:
The creators who hit these numbers aren’t the most talented they’re the most consistent. Show up, pitch, deliver, raise your rates, repeat.
